ANNUAL PICNIC. ("Times-Age” Special.) The Rangitumau School’s annual picnic was held on Saturday last in Mr E. T. Wilton’s paddock. The weather was ideal and the gathering was a The following were the results of children’s and adult races: —Girls, 50 yards: Fay Tilyard 1, Thora Tilyard 2. Boys, 50 yards: Colin MacDonald 1, W. Tilyard 2. Girls’ championship: Thora Tilyard 1, Beth Wilton 2. Boys' championship: Colin Stuart 1, Colin MacDonald 2. Girls’ walk: Beth Wilton 1, Ila Mortensen 2. Boys’ walk: Stanley Mortensen 1, Neil Stuart 2. There were many novelty races which caused much amusement. Single ladies’ race: Miss F. Baird 1. Single men’s race: Malcolm Stuart 1. Married ladies’ race: Mrs S. McLachlan 1. Married men’s race: C. J. McDonald.
