Calgary. Alberta. —Production of crude petroleum during 1938 in Alberta, the most westerly of Canada’s Prairie Provinces, was almost three times that of 1937, amounting to 6.269.265 barrels as against 2.402.015 barrels during the previous year. This was almost entirely due to the large developments in the rich Turner Valley during the past year.
