MEMORIAL CUPS. WINNERS FOR CURRENT SEASON. The following are the leading averages for the Arthur Hoar and D. K. Logan Memorial Cups, the former having again been won by W. Peterson (Red Star) While Newman Hoar, of the same club, was the winner of the D. K. Logan bowling cup:—

COLLEGE MATCH. WAIRARAPA v HUTT VALLEY. Wairarapa College were in a strong position at the conclusion of play yesterday in their annual cricket match with Hutt Valley High School, played on the school ground, Lower Hutt, in ideal weather conditions. Wairarapa made 202 and at the close of the day’s play Hutt Valley had lost more than half their wickets without getting anywhere near this total. Details are: —

At the luncheon adjournment today, Wairarapa had made 106 in their second innings and Hutt Valley had one wicket down for 48, and in the first innings made 126.

MATCH AT MASTERTON. SECOND ELEVEN PLAYING TEAM FROM PALMERSTON. The Wairarapa College second eleven is playing the Palmerston North Technical High School first eleven in a match on the College ground. When play ceased for lunch Wairarapa had lost five wickets for 113.
