KIATERE HARRIERS

ANNUAL MEETING HELD LAST NIGHT. SEASON TO OPEN APRIL 29. The annual meeting of the Kiatere Harrier Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. last night. The meeting, which was well attended by members, intending members, and supporters, was presided over by Mr A. L. Askew. During tne evening keen enthusiasm was displayed by all present, evidence of which was the numerous ballots which had to be conducted for the election of officers. This, together with the enrolment of a number, of new members, augurs well for the coming season. The annual report, previously published, was adopted together with the statement of accounts.

It was decided to alter slightly the club uniform, the letter “K” on the singlet to be replaced by a smaller monogram.

Mr H. Scrimshaw, vice-president, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for .a silver cup donated by Mr A. J. F. Carter and himself for competition in an invitation race, to be held at Morison’S Bush.

To encourage boys to participate in the sport it was decided that free uniforms be supplied for first year junior runners.

Reference was made to the resignation as president, of Mr G. C. H. Traill.
