LABOURER’S DEATH

CAUGHT IN FALL OF EARTH,

(By Telegraph—Press Association > AUCKLAND, March 21. Caugh in a fall of earth at the Takapuna quarry this afternoon, a labourer received internal injuries from which he died a few minutes later. The victim was: Luka Yulavich, single, aged 42. of Takapuna. With another man, Mr Yulavich was loading 'scoria into a standing lorry. A sudden fall occurred and he was thrown heavily against the end of the vehicle and jammed between it and the earth. Mr Yulavich died before any attention could be ; given him. He was a Dalmatian who had been in New Zealand for about 14 years. The other man was standing on the other side of the lorry and was not caught by the fall.
