NORWAY’S STAND
NOT LOOKING TO ANY POWER FOR GUARANTEE FAITH IN PROMISES NEVER AT LOWER EBB. DEFENCES BEING INCREASED. OSLO, March 19. Dr Hambro, President of the Storthing, declared that Norway neither asks nor desires a guarantee from any Power, because confidence in such promises was never at a lower ebb. Norway depends on her own power to defend her neutrality, for which reason her defences are being increased in order to prevent territorial violation.
