OLD BOYS’ CLUB.

ANNUAL REPORT. ' The following is the annual report of the Masterton Old Boys’ Football Club to be presented to the annual meeting on Thursday night in the Y.M.C.A.:—Your committee has much pleasure in submitting the fifteenth annual report and financial statement of the Club, covering the 1938 season. The season under review was not productive of any brilliant performances by the Club, although all three teams acquitted themselves creditably, and finished the season well up in their respective championships. The fifth annual game with Lower Hutt was played at the Hutt on Easter Saturday, and resulted in a win for the Hutt aftei quite an interesting game. We wish to thank the. Hutt Club most heartily for their hospitality. The third grade team also had an enjoyable match at Easter with a Poneke fifth grade team. Thanks to the manner in which members paid their subscriptions, and the financial assistance given by supporters, the Club’s financial position is better than it has ever been before. We congratulate the following on gaining representative honours. Senior, T. Denbee, O. Hatton, F. Morton, R. O’Callaghan, J. Seivers. .Junior, J. Alexander, P- Chadwick, D. Faulknor, L. Foreman, E. Meurk. The Club wishes to thank most sincerely the ladies committee for the successful dance they held on behalf of the Club; also Messrs G. G. Hancox, W. A. Jones, E. Jenkins, N. G. Rayner, J Colquhoun, and R. A. Cameron for donations; Mr N. H. James, 'the honorary auditor; Messrs J. Payne, senior coach, I. A. Hart, junior coach, J. Woolf, third grade coach; the Club’s delegates to the Rugby Union, Messrs N.- G. Rayner, J. W. Colquhoun, and F. Morton; the Press; and all those supporters who assisted the Club by providing transport, and in many other ways. For the Committee—N. G. Rayner (President), F. M. Morton (Hon Secretary).
