YOUTH INJURED
COLLISION BETWEEN MOTORCYCLE AND TRUCK. ACCIDENT IN MASTERTON ON SATURDAY. A youth named Cyril Diekason was admitted to the Masterton Hospital late on Saturday afternoon with an ankle injury, received as a result of a collision between the motor-cycle he was riding and a truck driven by Mr C. W. Adams, of Pahiatua, and owned by Mr R. L. Adams, of Bannister Street, Masterton. The accident occurred at 5.30 p.m. at the intersection of Cornwall and Pownall Streets. It is stated that the truck was proceeding northward ; along Pownall Street and the motor-cycle was travelling westward along Cornwall Street when the collision occurred. The injured youth was conveyed to his home. 93 Pownall Street and later admitted to hospital. He is a son of Mrs A. T. Diekason.
