The “Sydney Dajly Telegraph” says New Zealand potato jnerppqni-S have bought 1,’500 tons of Australian potatoes, the price paid being £9 5s a ton on rail qt Uallarat, Vicforiq. The purchases have been made fpr May, June, Jqly and Augqst deliveries. Application is being made tq the Npw Zealand Government for permission to import potatoes from Aiistpaliq. The "Telegraph” adds that the purchase is an ironical comment on the Commonwealth Government’s Related decision to lift the bap on the import of New Zealand potatoes.
