AUSTRALIA & GERMANY NO POUTICAI DIFFICULTIES. STATEMENT BY MR LYONS. Rv Telegraph—Press Association —Copyrigh t. CANBERRA, March 17. If Germany is prepared to enter into a trade agreement with Australia on a similar basis 1c other countries there will bo no political difficultis in the way, said the Prime Minister, Mr Lyons, referring to Dr. Rieck’s statement (reported yesterday). Mr Lyons added that Dr Rieck had completely misinterpreted the facts as <3” as Australia was concerned. Australia’s approach to the matter had boon on a basis of economics and was distinct from political considerations.
