INTER-HOUSE CUP
STOCK & STATION AGENTS WIN. FINAL EVENT HELD LAST NIGHT. The girls’ bicycle race, postponed on account of the wet ground at the interhouse sports last Saturday was held last night at the Park Oval by courtesy of the Masterton Amateur Athletic There was a large crowd present, additional interest being due to the fact that the grand aggregate points championship Was almost wholly dependent on the result of this race. Four teams. Sellar & Sellar, W.F.C.A.. Macduffs, and Stock & Station Agents, were all very close in the aggregate of the points scored on Saturday. The results of the bicycle race were as follow:- —First heat: E. Stidolph (Cody’s) 1, P. Cody (Cody’s) 2; time, 43 l-ssec. Second heat: J. Gemmell (Stock and Station) 1, O. Sutherland (W.F.C.A.) 2; time, 43 l-ssec. Third heat: N. Snowsill (W.F.C.A.) 1, J. Dixon (W.F.C.A.) 2; time, 42 l-ssec. Fourth heat: M. Graham (Macduffs) 1, I. McGill (McKenzie’s) 2; time, 43 1-5 sec. Final: J. Gemmell 1, J. Dixon 2, M. Graham 3. Time, 42 4-ssec. The cup for the aggregate points championship in the athletic events, presented by the Masterton Stock and Station Agents team was, therefore, won by the Stock and Station Agents house team, Miss Gemmell’s victory being sufficient to give them a clear lead. The Frank Taylor Cup for the girls' bicycle race was awarded to Miss Gemmell. After last night’s event, Mr L. B. Maunsell, president of the Interhouse Association, presented both the cups to the winners.
