ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

COMMENCEMENT OF SEASON’S . ACTIVITIES. The St. John Ambulance Corps has started activities for the season. At the opening meeting, over which the district superintendent, Mr J. C. Cooper presided, there was a good attendance of members, including several recruits. Mr Cooper gave an informative talk on the treatment of shock, a condition which, was often not regarded with sufficient seriousness.

A. further meeting was held last night, when it was reported that so far thirteen recruits had been enrolled this year, with the prospect of several more. This was the'largest number for several years.
