KATHERINE MANSFIELD
UNVEILING OF COMMEMORATIVE TABLET. The memory of Katherine Mansfield was honoured by a ceremony in February at the cemetery of Avon, near Fontainebleau. Well-known English and French writers were present. A wreath was placed on her grave, and a commemorative tablet was unveiled giving her name to a place where cross-roads meet in the forest.
The municipality of Fontainebleau entertained the Franco-British delegation.
