MOTOR CYCLE CLUB

ANNUAL RELIABILITY TRIAL. H. M. MORTON CUP TO R. CRAWLEY. On Sunday last the Masterton Motor Cycle Sports Club held its annual reliability trial for the H. M. Morton Cup. The competitors left Masterton at 9.30 a.m. and proceeded, via Mauriceville, to Palmerston North where a halt was called for dinner. The trial restarted at 2 p.m. and the Pahiatua Track was traversed on .the way home. The weather was fine throughout the day and the riders finished at Masterton at 5 p.m. after having had an enjoyable outing. Speedometers and tool boxes were sealed, and competitors were told to ride at 25 miles per hour to Palmerston North, and 23 miles per hour back to Masterton without the use of their watches. Checks were taken at different points throughout the route, and the speeds were very close to those required. The secretary extends his thanks to Messrs R. Mangham and S. Keith for their assistance in making, the checks. The results was .as follows:; R. Crawley (Sunbeam) 20 points lost 1; V. Woods (8.5. A. 22 points lost, 2; D. Keats, (Vellocette), 25 points lost, 3; R. Pearson! Norton), 31 points lost, and H. Cadwallader (Vellocette), 31 lost, 4; A. Mackay (Ariel), 39 points lost, 5; J. Mackay (James), 41 points lost, 6; W. Raneira (Royal Enfield), 44 points lost, 7; K. Fields (Indian), 45 points lost, 8; R. Watson (8.5. A. retired.
