RACING DESCRIBED THIRD IN A ROW. Trebor scored his third successive win when he just pipped Kurrawong on the post in the Carterton Hack. Kurrawong made the pace to the straight, followed by Trekor and Prediction. Kurrawong stayed on well but Ellis brought Trebor through at the business end to win by a head. Phil, always well back, finished on well for third but the judge did not place him in the first four. He placed Mother-in-Law third two lengths behind Kurrawong. Then came Prediction. YOURS TRULY SCORES. Placed handily throughout, Yours Truly carne through on the outside to score smartly in the- Gladstone Hack Handicap. Hinerawe and Rowana were out in front of a bunched field over the early stages, Larwood moving up to third at the five furlong post. There was little change to the straight where Yours Truly hit the front after Rowana had bored him across the track. Rowana was three-quarters of a length behind Yours Truly and the top weight Hinerawe was a length away third. Yours Truly raced sorely but looks a good thing. AN EXCITING FINISH. There was an exciting finish to the Bunny Memorial in which Flammarion prevailed by a neck from Mister Quex after almost running off the course at the home bend. Debham and Liane chased Flammarion to the straight, where Mister Quex and Export came into the picture. Flammarion sent Debham and Liane wide out at the straight entrance and went on to narrowly defeat Mister Quex, who was never further back than fourth. Liane was three lengths away third and then came first favourite Export. WIN FOR SCREEN LORD. Pirinoa and White Lady made all the early play in the Electric Hack but before the straight was reached Daisy Chain, Kurrawong and Screen Lord came through to the lead. A furlong from home Screen Lord successfully challenged Kurrawong to win by half a length. Daisy Chain, who had every chance, was third. Kurrawong did noi have a good passage and looked rather unlucky not to win. FAVOURITE BEATEN. Mother,-in-Law accounted for the hot favourite'. Drachma, in the Taratahi Handicap in good style. Drachma was allowed to drift to the rear over the

early stages but when he did come through Mother-in-Law who had wrested the lead from Dereus. clayed on Io win narrowly. Titter, who nearly came down at one stage, was a fair third.
