AIR PAID PRECAUTIONS

CONFERENCES IN BRITAIN. EVACUATION OF CHILDREN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. March 11. The Minister of Health, Mr Walter Elliot. whose department is responsible for the Government’s evacuation scheme and also for creating organisations through which air-raid casualties will be treated, conferred today with local authorities in Cornwall. The conferences followed similar discussion in Devonshire yesterday, both counties being reception areas to which London children will be sent in the event of an emergency.

Conferences of this kind have already been held in Oxford. Bristol and Cardiff, and others will be held in Newcastle, Cambridge. Leeds and Nottingham.
