WOMEN’S DIVISION
MANGAONE BRANCH CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARY. Gn Wednesday, March 8, the Mangaone branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union celebrated its fourth anniversary. Mrs Lowes presided over a good attendance of members. After business had been dealt with, the afternoon was spent socially, tea being served by Mrs. Jim Evans and Mrs Yowell. A competition for the most potatoes grown from three potatoes. was won by Mrs L. Eagle, with 341bs. of fine quality potatoes. Mrs Lowes was second with 161bs. A bring and buy stall did good business, helping the funds considerably. Arrangements were completed for the Birthday euchre party aftd dance at which everyone will be welcome.
