DROUGHT BROKEN
RELIEF IN MANAWATU. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N.. This Day. The draught has definitely broken in (he Manawatu. rain overnight developing steadily into several heavy showers throughout the forenoon. Rain is still falling and nearly all sports fixtures are abandoned. The rainfall means much to farmers, many of whom were jn a serious plight through lack of feed. Rural householders in several areas have been carting water.
