MASTERTON FLOWER SHOW
PARK EXHIBIT PRAISED. (To the Editor.) Sir,--In reference to the late Masterton Flower Show: I, as a flower lover the grower, would like to congratulate all exhibitors. Considering the adverse season, and the scarcity of water, the whole display was a credit to those who entered. The outstanding exhibit, in mv opinion, was that from -the Masterton Park. I happened to hear a very prominent and gracious lady offer her congratulations to the custodian (Mr H. Sturgeon). “In my many years of experience,” she said, "seldom have I seen an exhibit to compare with yours. The blooms are perfect, and the colour blending is wonderful." Lord Nuffield. I believe, also congratulated Mr Sturgeon, and as a flower grower myself, I heartily endorse the compliments deservedly expressed to this gentleman by these prominent people. Next year I hope Mr Sturgeon’s exhibit will eclipse this season’s, though I consider that hope to be almost an impossibility. Thanking you for your space. —I am, '• etc., . 'LADY OBSERVER. Masterton, March 11.
