LIVING ROOM IN FRENCH STYLE, DONE IN BLUE, WHITE & GREY
THIS living room is in the late French style, which recently has had quite a return to popularity. The colour scheme is Delphi blue, white and grey. The furniture is in an antiquated ivory colour. The mirror is in the same colour, with a faint hint of gilt ornamentation. The settee is covered with soft grey silk, and the chair with a moderh white imported fabric having a herringbone design. Rather clever colour harmony effects are obtained in the room. The curtains are of white glazed chintz, ahd the blue strap trimming on them is the same shade as the blue in the wallpaper. The cornice board above the curtains has a border design of leaves which matches the vertical stripes in the wallpaper. The impression of the room is a rich, warm blue, stemming from the wallpaper, which in turn provides an excellent background for the lighter decorative touches of white, grey and ivory.
