The heaviest shark ever caught by rod and reel was landed off Sydney Heads by Mr Lyle Bagnard, of Zane Grey’s party. It was a tiger shark, weighing 1382lb., 13ft. l0in. long, and 7ft. 9in. in girth. It took four hours to land.
Tests of concrete bomb deflectors at Hounslow (England), with a 1200lb. dummy bomb on five floors and a roof. Only two floors were pierced.
