NEW ZEALAND AND CAHN'S TEAM LIGHT RAIN THIS MORNING IN WELLINGTON. WICKET AND OUTFIELD DAMP BUT IN GOOD ORDER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Light rain has been falling since 8.30 o’clock this morning and the conditions for the cricket match between Sir Julien Cahn’s team and a New Zealand eleven at the Basin Reserve at 11 o’clock were fair. The wicket and outfield, although damp were in good order. The captains inspected the wicket at 11.10 and decided • to make another inspection at noon. Light rain was still falling at 11.30, the time originally set for the match to begin. The teams have not yet been announced. FURTHER INSPECTIONS. WELLINGTON, This Day. The wicket was inspected again at 12.30 and a decision made to have lunch at 1 o’clock and to inspect it again at 1.30 o’clock. Cahn’s team is:—Heane, Dempster, Jackson, Maxwell, Walsh, Dyson, Hardstaff, Oldfield, Phillipson, Smith, and Watts. The New Zealand team is as follows:—D. A. R. Moloney (captain), P. E. Whitelaw. E. W. Tindill, W. M. Wallace, R. E. J. Menzies, J. A. Ongley, W. P. Donnelly, W. N. Carson, T. L. Pritchard, J. Cowie and J. Ashenden; W. Rainbow is twelfth man.
