WORLD ARMAMENTS
FRENCH SOCIALISTS CALL FOR CONFERENCE PROGRESSIVE REDUCTION SOUGHT. LEADING TO INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION. (Independent Cable Service.) PARIS, March 8. The Socialist Group in the Chamber is tabling a resolution calling an international peace conference open to all nations to attempt, on the basis of progressive reduction of armaments, to find a solution of world problems leading to close and lasting collaboration among all peoples. The resolution states that the conference would open under more favourable conditions if foreign troops were first withdrawn from Spain.
