PLANNING YOUR IDEAL HOME
Masterton Retailers Sponsor,a Special Homes Campaign from Tomorrow till Friday . March 24.
TOMORROW almost every shop in Masterton will , -display special window banners referring to Masterton’s Ideal Home Season. The windows, in the main, will feature displays of goods specially for the home. Inside, those stores further displays will be featured of similar goods. The Home will be the sales angle of these stores from tomorrow until March 25. What does it all mean? It means that Masterton stores carry a range of goods for the /Home equal in value and diversity to those of any stores elsewhere in New Zealand, provincial town or city. It means that the Masterton retailers want to impress upon the public that they can' satisfy every need —here-in Mastertcn. It means that Masterton retailers are making a direct appeal to Wairarapa residents to support local business, not just on patriotic grounds, but on sound, economic principles. There will, be gala significance about these next two weeks of retail shopping—coloured street lights provided by courtesy of the Borough Council, attractive displays of goods specially selected for adding to the comforts and convenience of the Home, competitions open to members of the public, essay competitions for school children, window display competitions among participating firms —in all, a definite and reasoned appeal for making purchases locally rather than buy in the city. Watch every day for news of this Ideal Home season ; study the competitions which have been inaugurated f.or the public interest; watch the windows in Queen Street. Then do your part to make the season successful—by buying everything for your Home locally.
