MASTERTON CLUB EVENTS
CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED LAST NIGHT.
KEEN COMPETITION EVIDENT.
Favoured with an exceedingly wellattended meeting, and a perfect night
for both swimmers and spectators, the Masterton Amateur Swimming and Life-Saving Club held its club championship meeting at the Dixon Street Baths last night. The club had generously decided
to vote all profits to the Plunket Society and the Masterton Beautifying Society, and it was gratifying to the officials to see such a good attendance of the general public. Novelty events helped to maintain interest throughout the evening’s proceedings. The following are the results:— 50 Yards Junior Boys’ Championship. —G. Whyborne 1, R. Major 2, F. Sexton 3.
