In the House of Commons, Mr Ronald Cross (Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade) replying to Sir J. D. W. Thomson, said the latest information did not support the contention that there yvould be a reduction of between fifty and seventy-five per cent in imports of United Kingdom paints to New Zealand under the new restrictions.
