The cricket match between Otago and Sir Julien Cahn’s team was continued at the Carisbrook ground today under ideal playing conditions. At stumps on Saturday Otago had made 184 and 63 for one, and the tourists had made 434. Final arrangements for the match between Sir Julien Cahn’s team and the New Zealand eleven, which is to be played at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, on Friday, Saturday and Mon- r day next, were completed at the weekly meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Cricket Association. The chairman, Mr J. H. Phillips, who will be the manager of the New Zealand team, reported that Sir Julien Cahn’s team would arrive by steamer express tomorrow morning, and the New Zealand team would assemble in their headquarters at the Empire Hotel. A welcome to Sir Julien Cahn’s team will be extended by the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon M. J. Savage, at Parliament House at 11 a.m. on Thursday. The hours of play on each day of the match will be from 11.30 to 1.15, 2 to 4, and 4.15 to 6. The umpires will be Messrs J. Young, Christchurch, and C. Moore, Wellington.
