TELEGRAMS TO VICEROY POSSIBILITY OF SETTLEMENT. FACTOR OF MAHATMA’S HEALTH. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) NEW DELHI, March 6. A telegram has been sent from Mahatma Gandhi to the Viceroy. It is
believed to be his reply to the Viceroy’s message. It is thought that direct correspondence will lead to 'a settlement, but much depends on whether Mr Gandhi’s health‘will allow a continuation of the consultations. An earlier message states that Mr Gandhi’s general weakness is increasing. His doctors report that he has lost two pounds in weight since the beginning of his fast.
