TWO MEN ARRESTED
ALLEGED BURGLARY IN PALMERSTON NORTH. / (By (Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ This Day. Hearing a suspicious noise in King Street at about 3 a.m. today, a resident notified the police. In consequence constables made investigations which resulted in two arrests. This morning, Jack Henry Check, shop assistant, aged 20, and Victor William Kendall, motor driver, aged 20. appeared in the Magistrate’s Court charged with breaking and entering by night the premises of Manning and Coulter and stealing articles valued at £9 Gs Gd. Check was also charged with converting to his own use a motorcycle valued at £B5. Both accused asked to be dealt with immediately to get the case “over and done with,” but on the application of the police they were remanded until March 15. Bail was allowed.
