The Minister for Propaganda, Dr. Goebbels, opening the Leipzig Fair, criticised the “almost inconceivable” 'size and wealth of. the British Empire. He said Germany was inadequately treated regarding the distribution of the world’s goods and was scarcely able to supply her people with the necessary food and minor luxuries. However an economic programme was sound common sense and Germany must and would live.
