ON CANADIAN PACIFIC COAST. PILOT ESCAPES WITH BRUISES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. VANCOUVER, March 2. A Hawker Hurricane bomber which cost 75,000 dollars, the first of five to arrive from England for the Pacific defences, and capable of a speed of 350 miles an hour, became out of control during a test flight. After taking off it crashed in flames from an altitude of 50 feet and was completely destroyed. Sergeant Pilot R. Davis leaped to the ground and escaped with bruises.
