MR H. CARTER DEAD
FINDER OF TUTANKHAMEN'S TOMB. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright LONDON, March 3. The death is announced of Mr Howard Carter, discovered of Tutankhamen’s tomb. Mr Carter went to Eg/pt first in 1890 and was engaged in archaeological work for many years. It was in 1924 that, as leader of an expedition of which the Earl of Carnarvon was patron, he found Tutankhamen's tomb.
