The Estimates include Ministry of Labour. £24,264,000, a decrease of £213,010; Unemployment Assistance Board, £43,930,000, a decrease of £415,000. The Labour estimate includes £22,701,600 for unemployment insurance. The Civil Estimates amount to £440,315,831, an increase of £1,015,845. They provide £5,190,707 for air raid precautions and food reserves, compared .with £9,283,420, but there is power for seeking to borrow additionally for this reason to an undisclosed extent driving 1939.
