TIMBER TRADE
A BUSY CANADIAN PORT. SAINT JOHN. Not. only does the Port of Saint John handle large consignments of lumber from the provinces of New Brunswick and Quebec but with recent developments of lumbering activities in the adjoining State of Maine in the United States, much of the lumber from that district is being shipped through Canadian ports. Announcement has been made that an order of 1,000,000 feet for veneer wood being cut in the North of Maine is to be shipped to the British market through this port.
