CANNED PINEAPPLE
IMPORTATIONS TO CANADA. OTTAWA. Imports of canned pineapples into Canada in the first eight months of the current fiscal year amounted to 17,379,959 pounds valued at 537.485 dollars as compared with 16,524,780 pounds valued at 560,667 dollars in the corresponding period of 1937. Imports in November alone amounted to 2,426,840 pounds of which the British Straits Settlements supplied 2.339.185 pounds. Smaller quantities were supplied by Australia, Hawaii, British East Africa and the United States.
