BIG DISPLAY AT ALFREDTON WOMEN’S INSTITUTE’S ANNUAL EXHIBITION. LIST OF PRIZE-WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Alfredton Women’s Institute is to be congratulated on the success of its annual Flower Show held recently in the Alfredton Hall. Despite the bad season, the display was a very bright one. and the classes were well filled. The officials may be commended on the organisation of the exhibition. The judges of all the classes had difficulty in separating some of the fine specimens shown, and were loud in their praise of the high quality of the entries received. Mrs W. Roles and Mrs J. Hartley were in charge of the tea rooms. The show was opened by the president, Mrs Hull, who thanked the judges, exhibitors and all Who helped, and the general public for their attendance. The judges were: —Decorative, Mrs Cecil Kebbell and Mrs Purvis Hay; cut flowers and vegetables, Mr E. Hale; needlework, Miss K. Herbert; cooking, Mrs McKenzie; photography, Mr J. Duncan.
