Sir Benjamin Fuller is to again present the Great Nicola at the Regent Theatre. Masterton. on Wednesday next, but with the special announcement that this is to be Nicola s farewell tour. Nicola has definitely determined to make this last last and; final tour of the principal cities of the I world. For over twenty-five years the | Great Nicola has been touring the world, and during his travels he has succeeded, in unravelling some of the world's hitherto baffling mysteries of the fakirs, voodoos, sorcerers and witchdoctors in the remote corners of the globe. Nicola is said to have been the first white man to penetrate into the secret archives of the Hindu Society of Fakirs, and has the distinction of being the only non-Hindu io have received an honorary degree from this world-famous cult of mystery. One of the many new sensations that Nicola will present on his forthcoming tour will be the reproduction of the famous Hindu myth, the Indian rope trick. Travellers far and wide have been telling about this wonderful feat of Hindu sorcery, but none has ever been found that could swear that they had actually seen this phenomenon, they have always heard it described by others that claimed' to have seen it. Now for the first time in oui' history comes Nicola with the announcement that he has definitely solved this great feat, and he will actually reproduce this thrilling spectacular feat on his forthcoming tour. - To those who are not familiar with this historical mystery, a brief description follows. A coil, of rope is thrown up in the air, where by some mysterious power the rope • remains suspended in mid-air, next a small boy is mysteriously produced from the magic bag, the youth is seen to climb up the unsupported rope, and when midway up the rope, presto, he vanishes right before your very eyes, the rope falls down and is passed out for examination.
