NEW SKI TRAIL

LOCATED IN CANADIAN PARK. EDMONTON. Possibly the word's finest ski trail is being developed in the Rocky Mountains at Jasper National Park, near here, and has been selected after nearly ten years' exploration work. The new trail is at Shovel Pass, a gap in the famous Maligne Ridge, a 7000 feet altitude and surrounded by peaks rising 800 to 10,000 feet, with an abundance of long, smooth slopes. Cabins have been erected to accommodate ski-ing enthusiasts who arc expected to come from far and near to try out the new ski trail. The new ski trail leads south a distance of 50 miles, without losing height, to the greatest ice sheet, on the continent, the Columbia Icefield known as "Mothers of Waters" which is situated midway between Jasper National Park in lhe North, and Lake Louis in the South. The Columbia Icefield is claimed to be the largest glacial area in the world outside the Arctic Circle, and in this region a modern chalet will be erected next year. This chalet will accommodate 100 guests to meals and provide sleeping quarters, shower baths and other modern conveniences.
