Those who “make-up” do not seem to realise that they are wearing masks, and hiding under the stuff on their faces the complexion which nature has bestoweC upon them. What is artificial can be easily detected, and cosmetics must injure the skin in the long run. But what is worse, constant "make-up must injure the mind. Truer eyes could look out from a natural face than from a plastered one.
