COLLEGE PIPE BAND

ATTENDANCE AT CONTEST ASSURED. DONATIONS & CONCERT RECEIPTS NEARLY £5O. The effort recently made by the St Andrew Society and others to raise funds to enable the Wairarapa College Pipe Band to compete at the Dominion Pipe Band contest to be held at Christchurch next month, has assured the band’s attendance at the contest. The net result of the campaign, including donations, is £49 14s lOd, which sum has now been paid over to the band. It is expected, in consequence. that the cost of the trip, to individual members of the band, will not be as much as £1 each, an expense that all should be able to bear without undue hardship.
