OFFERING AT WANGANUI TODAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, February 23. "We are hoping that prices will be slightly better than at the January sale,” said Mr F. Moffatt, president of lhe Wanganui Woolbrokers’ Association. referring to tomorrow’s wool sale in Wanganui. "Both Wellington and Napier prices showed a slight improvement on previous sales, and it is expected that the same will apply in Wanganui tomorrow.” About 24,000 bales will comprise tomorrow’s offering. The sale is timed to begin at 2.30 p.m. Buyers arrived from Napier yesterday and today were engaged in valuing clips in wool stores. The wool to be offered tomorrow will include more back-country clips that at the first Wanganui sale last month. The lateness of the shearing season in some districts may have resulted in seed showing in some of the wool, and this will naturally affect the demand.
