William Powell is divorced from Carole Lombard. It was strongly rumoured that he intended to marry the i* late Jean Harlow. He has been des- > perately ill ever since her death, but is now on the road to health. Whether he will ever marry again is difficult to say, but he is eligible. Robert Taylor, one of the most eligible of all Hollywood's bachelors, is in love with Barbara Stanwyck, but, although they have been inseparable for a year or more, there is no sign of a wedding. It is rumoured here that Barbara will not marry Bob. fearing marriage might hurt his career. He never looks at another girl, and seems devoted to Barbara. It is thought that they will marry eventually, although -the studio would prefer him to remain single for box-office reasons. Tvrone Power seems to be the most fickle of al the bachelors, flitting from one beautiful girl to another. First it was Janet Gaynor, with strong rumours of marriage. Then he switched to Sonja Henie, and from her to Arleen Whelan. Now he is back with Sonja.
