ALTERATION IN MASTERTON HOURS. QUESTION OF LEAKY TAPS. “It is a very fair proposition,” remarked Councillor W. Kemp, when referring at last night's meeting of the Borough Council to a recommendation by the Borough Engineer, Mr C; R. Mabson, that an alteration be made in hosing restriction hours. The Mayor, Mr T. Jordan: “We are experimenting to find out which are the best hours.” The recommendation was adopted and the nevz hours will be between 7 a.m. and 16 a.m. and- 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Mr Jordan brought up the question of leaky taps and on his suggestion it was decided to invite all householders with leaky taps to 1 communicate with the Borough Engineer, who would take steps to have all defective washers replaced free of charge.
