ROTARY MOVEMENT

THIRTY-FOUR YEARS OLD TOMORROW. OBSERVANCE BY MASTERTON CLUB. The Rotary Club movement will be thirty-four years old tomorrow, and clubs throughout the world will celebrate the event. The occasion will be marked at the Masterton Club’s luncheon tomorrow bv a short address by Rotarian S. L. P. Free, who was for two years vice-president of Rotary International. Rotary .was now established in 80 countries, with a total membership of some 202.000. The first New Zealand Club was formed in 1921 and the Masterton Club in 1925. Miss Meredith-Jones, of Aberdare. South Wales, organiser of the Physical Fitness Campaign in Oxford, will also be a speaker at tomorrow’s Rotary luncheon. She has taught classes of 1000 people the rudiments of how to keep fit. The annual Rotary conference is to be held in Napier on March 1. 2 and 3. It will be presided over by Mr George Hutchison, Rotary Governor of New Zealand. Rotary International will be represented at the conference by Mr A. G. Mitchell, of Melbourne. The Masterton Club delegates will be Rotarians S. L. P. Free and J. J. Hunter.
