MASTERTON CLUB. KEEP FIT WEEK PROGRAMME. The Masterton Amateur Swimming Club will not hold their usual “club

night” this week, but will stage an evening's entertainment at the 1 Dixon Street Baths on Tuesday night in connection with "Keep Fit” Week. An excellent programme has been drawn up, which

should be interesting to young and old alike. Several local business houses have entered teams in the men's inter-house relay race, and the Inter-House Girls’ Association have also entered teams for their relay event. A series of exhibition dives by Norman Dyer, the Australian Olympic and Empire Games representative, will be worth going to see. The local club is to be congratulated on getting this noted diver to give an exhibition. The following is the programme:— 25yds scratch junior boys' balloon race; 25yds scratch junior girls’ balloon race; 50yds dual relay <1 lady. 1 man); 75 yds intermediate medley (25yds backstroke, 25yds breaststroke, 25yds freestyle); Interhouse Girls' Association teams relay (4 each to swim 25yds); 25 yds veterans' race —over 40 years of age; 50yds scratch race, Eketahuna v Masterton; exhibition dives by Mr Norman Dyer; 100yds open handicap breaststroke; exhibition life saving; 100 yds open freestyle; open dive; ribbon dive; inter house relay handicap (men) 4 to a team; water polo—Eketahuna v Masterton. To allow the public to see the "Old Timers” cricket match the club has decided to start their events al 7.45 p.m., instead of the usual 7.15 p.m.
