MAURICEVILLE
ROAD IMPROVEMENTS. (“Times-Ace” Special.) The Mauriceville County Council has commenced grading work in preparation for sealing the main road from the school crossing to the railway station. It is anticipated that the sealing will be commenced in the middle of the week and when completed the elimination of the dust nuisance will be greatly .appreciated. Rough Weather. An exceptionally high wind accompanied by heavy rain was experienced early on Sunday morning. Apart from interruptions to electrical services no damage is reported. OBITUARY. MRS J. CHRISTENSEN. The death occurred at Whangarei on Saturday of Mrs J. Christensen, of Omana, at the age of 39 years. The late Mrs Christensen was the eldest daughter (Eva) of Mrs and the late Mr P. E. Mortensen, of Mauriceville West. She had been in indifferent health for some time, but her death came as a shock to her family. Being a great favourite with all who knew her she will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends. She is survived by her husband and one daughter with whom the deepest sympathy will be felt.
