HAUTOTARA EWE FAIR. Messrs Levin and Co Ltd and Murrway Roberts Ltd report on their annual Hautotara Ewe Fair as follows:— The yarding came forward to advertised numbers and in good condition, fully, maintaining the quality for which this fixture is noted. There was a large attendance of the public, and bidding, though not animated, resulted in prices fully up to expectations. Mr John McLeod, Whakapuni, again topped the market for both young and older ewes. We quote: Account John McLeod, 6-yr ewes at 255, and 20s; 5-yr ewes at 20s; maiden 4-th ewes at 29s 6d; 2-th ewes at 30s and 295. Account Robert McLeod: 4 and 5-yr ewes at 21s; 4 and 6-th ewes at 22s 6d. Account Murdoch McLeod: 4-yr ewes at 255; 5-yr ewes at 20s; 2-th ewes at 255. Account Gordon McLeod: 2-th ewes at 255. Account D. H. Riddiford ex Te Awaite: Maiden 4-th ewes at 26s 6d, 26s 3d and 23s 2d. Account D. W. Ross: 4-yr ewes at 21s Id; 4-th wethers at 16s Id; 2-th wethers at 13s 9d; lambs at 10s 3d. Account S. McDougall Estate: 5-yr ewes at 20s 7d; 2-th ewes at 26s Id; 2-th wethers at 16s ,3d. Account J. McDonald: 4-yr ewes at 225; 2-th ewes at 22s 6d; 2 : th wethers at 14s 6d. Account J. W. Spiers: 4-yr ewes at 21s 4d; 5-yr ewes at 17s 6d. Account G. T. Hutton Estate: 5-yr ewes at 18s 6d. Account J. Sharp: 2 and 4-th ewes at 20s lOd. Account F. A. Deller and G. W. Gilbert: 2-th ewes at 21s lOd. Account T. A. Herrick: 2-th ewes at 19s 6d.
