OUTSTANDING ARAB COLT
—.— PURCHASED BY MR T. V. CAVERHILL. IMPORTED FROM AUSTRALIA. Of interest to all breeders of horses was the arrival at Wellington by the Wanganella from Melbourne of a grey Arab yearling colt bought on behalf of Mr T. V. Caverhill, Masterton. Selected and imported through the stud stock department of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., this colt is one of the highestpriced Arabs ever to have been imported. It will, doubtless, prove a valuable acquisition to the Wairarapa district. By Sirdar (15 hands), winner of the championship at both the Melbourne and the Sydney Royal Shows, and out of an imported dam, this young horse shows every promise of developing into an outstanding animal and his career will be watched with interest by all those l who are anxious to see some improvement in the type of horseflesh in the Dominion. On its arrival the colt was the centre of interest to a number of horse owners and others who expressed admiration at its outstanding qualities.
