NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, at a Special Meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, held on the 21st day of January, 1939, IT WAS RESOLVED, by way of Special Order, that, in exercise of the powers on it conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and its amendments, and, in particular, section 36 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1938, and all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Masterton Borough Council make a bylaw, to be intituled “The Masterton Borough Hawkers, Pedlars and Itinerant Traders Amendment By-Law, 1939,” to amend the Masterton Borough Hawkers, Pedlars and Itinerant Traders ByLaw, 1932, the object or purport thereof being to increase, from £5 to £25, as from the Ist day of March, 1939, the licence-fee payable in respect of an Itinerant Trader’s Licence issued under the last-mentioned by-law. The resolution to make the said bylaw will be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, to be held at the Borough Council Chamber, Chapel Street, Masterton, at 7.30 o’clock on TUESDAY, the 21st day of February, 1939. A true copy of the proposed by-law is deposited at the Office of the Masterton Borough Council, Chapel Street, Masterton, and is there open to the inspection of the public during office hours until the said confirming meeting is held. MAURICEVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL. DOG REGISTRATION FEE, 1939. i NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Dog Licences and Collars for the year 1939 may be procured from Mr Arthur Myers at his residence in Mauriceville, who has been appointed Deputy Dog Registrar. The amount of the fee for the registration of any dog of a greater age than six (6) months has been fixed by the Council at two shillings and six pence (2/6), and a further fee of one shilling (1/-) per dog for the supply of the preparation known as Ancoline Hydrobromide, being the approved remedy to be used in the prevention of hydatid disease, such fee being fixed by regulation pursuant to the provisions of the Dog Registration Amendment Act, 1937. making a total fee payable for the registration year 1939 of three shillings and six pence (3/6).
