INTEREST REDUCTION ACT QUASHED. SUPREME COURT RULING. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. CALGARY. February 13. The Supreme Court today quashed thd Aberhart Social Credit Government’s Interest Reduction Act, whereby the Province refused to pay more than half interest on outstanding bonds. The Court rules that interest reduction comes under the sole authority of the Dominion. The action was brought by the Independent Order of Foresters, holding 300.000 dollars' worth of Provincial debentures.
